Discover RICHMOND VIRGINIA At Our Local Farmers' Markets

From Farm To Table & Much More

My favorite part of the summer is a local trip to one of the many farmers' markets in and around Richmond.  Farmers from near and far open their booths to the locals.  Vibrant colors dot the landscape giving inspiration for a new recipe or an old family favorite, a beautiful bouquet of flowers, or handcrafted items you just can't resist.  Don't miss this opportunity to meet new people, explore the area, and try out some of the best that RVA has to offer.  You will find yourself going back every weekend for more!

And here's a MUST...

Don't miss the chance to try a delicious Hanover Virginia tomato.  It's plump, it's juicy, and definitely hits the spot on a hot summer afternoon layered inside a tomato and mayo sandwich.  YUM!!

Believe it or not Hanover County Virginia hosts an entire festival for their famous Hanover tomato.  For a day of fun, food, and tomatoes, mark your calendar for the middle of July to enjoy all this famous tomato has to offer.

Or, if strawberries are your jam, you won't want to miss the opportunity to pick your own basket full at one of the local berry farms - Ashland Virginia Berry Farm or Chesterfield Virginia Berry Farm.  In fact, you might want to also mark your calendar for the middle of June and make a trip to Ashland Virginia for their annual Strawberry Faire.  It's everything strawberry and more.  Check it out!

Or maybe you'd like grass fed, grass finished beef and pork?  If so, checkout Next Level Ranch.  They pride themselves on "taking our beef, our pork, and ourselves to the next level."  During the summer months, you can visit them at the Manakin Farmers' Market, just a 5 minute drive from Short Pump.  They also provide home delivery when the market is not open.  If you want to see where your food is coming from, they welcome you to schedule a visit with them on the farm in Highland County Virginia.
